Default What will happen on SW after the election

Well I can well imagine a re-invigoration of VOA to get the message
out that confrontational foreign policy is going to change. There is a
great opportunity here to get back on track with our neighbors around
the world, and what better way than spending some bucks on
communicating via shortwave radio. Oh, I know, the naysayers say SW is
an ancient technology. Well they are right- it's been with us for many
decades and will be with us for a long, long time yet, still relevant.
Today I spent a few hours total off and on listening. Actually
LISTENING and LEARNING about others around the world ....
Along the line of smoky hills
The crimson forest stands
And all the day the bluejay calls
Throughout the Autumn lands ...
A beautiful poem to compliment a beautiful, ever fascinating, radio
hobby...
Good luck, America, choose wisely in your election, many are counting
on you...

I predict all RHC announcers will be in a state of euphoria.

So what do other people predict will happen on SW with an Obama win?

That I was going to vote for Ron Paul, or that I didn't get the chance to
vote at all? (USPS BYTES)

Ah- so you listen to Alex? :-) I have for years- gotta say he was
screaming to high heavens on hisshows for months "before" 9-11 that
the towers were going to get hit. Many people don't know this or it's
just easier to call him a kook and be done with him, but all he does
is "research." He researches any articles that all of us can and then
connects the dots. It also helps that he truly does now have 'inside
sources' that help him out. Just happens to be he is the only one with
a microphone that does his own homework and then speaks out about it.

Same thing that will happen to capital (money) - an exodus to and boom
in demand for foreign broadcast station time.

Rush Limbaugh will no longer be available on domestic AM stations but
will be heard only via foreign shortwave relay stations and satellite
radio.

Sheesh.. and you guys call the 911 'truthers' paranoid..

I "kind of " get the feeling Brenda Ann that you are going to/have
already voted for Barak Hussein Obama? Interesting. Have you read his
books in his own words? Just curious. IMO- ANYONE that his read HIS
OWN WORDS and then votes for him should really be asked some
questions. In all seriousness.

Whom I vote for is none of your business, but for your information, I won't
be voting at all, because my d*** absentee ballot never arrived (after two
requests for remailings).

And in spite of that, anyone that actually BELIEVES that Barack Obama, Joe
Biden, John McCain, Sarah Palin, or ANYBODY elected to the presidency can
affect ANY change to the United States, without the full acquiescence of
CONgress and the people, is most definitely not playing with a full deck. As
much as I loathe much of what has been pushed through CONgress in the past
few years, the fact is that none of it would have been made law without the
support of a vast majority of the citizens of the US. The sort of paranoid
ramblings coming from some that Obama would turn the US into a socialist
country, or silence conservative voices in any way are far beyond the pale.

At last, I am a centrist, and a Constitutionalist. I was fully prepared to
vote for Ron Paul, but with such a poor showing, was not going to just throw

That is a fair response. Now go and have a cup of tea. ;-) I never did
like the USPS anyhow.

More nonsense. Obama's book was written in 1994 (published in early
1995). He first met Ayers in the second half of 1995. You should
research before spewing your nonsense, Roy....

I kinda didn't want to say anything to RHF but you did so I don't have
to. All I say is read his book/books and then if you vote for
him......IMO.....you really should be questioned, in all seriousness.

Sorry here too Brenda. back a few years, you could take your passport
to an American embassy, and fill out what they called an embassy ballet..
if i remember, up to the first of Nov. and it would go out by cable, or
telex, or the famous embassy pouch. for some strange reason, R.R.
stopped it. after all these years i still get a kick when i vote, makes
me feel good inside.

You bet. Tomorrow I go to my polling place to vote and be a part of the
process.

I am going to say this, I have never stated this (I don't think- may
be wrong) on the internet but this is unfortunately the real way I
feel. I just have never been convinced that my vote could 'literally'
decide who is going to be the Commander in Chief. If I am wrong there
then there is someone out there- whoever they are- that at that exact
moment of counting the votes is the one that is choosing the leader of
the free world. I really (unfortunately) believe the saying that "If
voting "truly" made a difference, the government would outlaw it." I
may ruffle some feathers by saying that, but I have had the sneaking
suspicion that voting is one of the greatest hoaxes (among others)
that the gubiment ever created. I don't know. I hope and pray I am
wrong, but the government doesn't allow "The People" to decide
anything ie; The Bailout etc. etc. etc. They don't trust that people
can make the right decisions for themselves so they are the ones that
do it irregardless what the people really want or what makes them more
affluent. I don't know- hope I didn't upset anyone too terribly bad
but I just felt the need to say it. duck- n- cover

1 (one) vote may not count for all that much out of millions of votes, but what if
all of the people who think that their 1 (one) vote doesn't count don't vote?

Elections can, and are, lost because of all the individuals who think that their 1
(one) vote doesn't count.

Go Vote!

And vote NoBama!

Why do you lie and defame?
Why must you prove you're a half-wit?
By the way, global warming is fact. You, on the other hand, are the
sort to think the internet runs on witchcraft. :P
