You understand because you have a clue but unfortunately many do not. The economy is the number one reason but do not underestimate the power of a campaign together with the old media to help make a candidate palatable. The Republican party lost this race when McCain was picked to run. -- Telamon Ventura, California Telamon, I hope that both sides can come together enough to live up the possibilities of real reform. Too much to hope? Yeah, I know it's a stretch and I will possibly end up disappointed. But, it seems like something we ought to try to profit from. My prediction: the stock market will reward the possibility of "hope" at this particular moment. We'll have to see. Everybody's watching. I hoping he can be pulling some "rabbits" out of his hat. We sure need it. And I thought McCain's concession speech made me respect the great hero even more. I hope that Obama will capitalize on his offer of assistance. Hope is an interesting concept... True, but... ...what is really funny is a statement like that coming from a HUGE Bush supporter/defender such as yourself. Maybe the American voters have a message in that for you...and maybe W wasn't as quite as wonderful as you would want us to believe. What's really funny is that Bush wasn't running. Not the flesh and bull**** fool himself, but a continuity of his policies and ideology under the hand of McCain. ...then there was that sideshow from Alaska that couldn't sustain the distraction through election day.
