Since you mention Mussolini, this is as good a place as any to mention my
shock and bewilderment at the McCain campaign's use early in the general
election period after the conventions, of a pose of the candidate, in
television spots, that looked to me exactly like the famous photos of
Il Duce. Didn't anyone in that campaign have a clue?
