I have not even tried to get them and noted reception on 31, 25, and 19
meters at times.

Perhaps you should have noted the frequencies so you could pass them along.

It's a polar path to North America. The signal gets mangled.

(AIR) Broadcast in North America (NA) and the USA :
Then you have to Listen to All India Radio (AIR) Radio
Broadcasts to Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

off beam and subject to auroral flutter.
