If so I remember you. I've had mine modified also. The two toggles in the front panel are underneath lsb-usb-am-cw writing. The one on the left is new filters - the one on the right is the AGC gain. The high z antenna plug was added for less of a better word a bananna plug for coupling my loop to the back of the receiver. I will have to say the radio wasn't actually junk brand new out of the box or anything but the differences were huge in both functionality and in appearance. The weight added onto the tuning knob and the knobs painted. Had some real nice paper (I can't think of the word) added to the outside cabinet itself with real subtle wavy patterns in it. The one other thing I'd really like to have done is get rid of the green LCD and have a blue like I had added to the DX398. Is that even possible Tom? It sounds to me like it's not even possible? There is plenty of room for a few more toggles. ;-) That's me. Happy to carry on any discussion of DX394 mods over on the RADIOSHACKDX394 forum where it can be shared with many 394 owners. Here, it's just noise for most..- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - I may visit over there again, it's been years since I have been there. Thanks for the response. |
