Off-air revenue, which has risen most months this year, crept up again in November, rising 1 percent. The November dropoff follows reports that grand-total revenue was down 10 percent in October and 8 percent in September. So what? *TV station revenue is down. *Auto companies revenue is down. *The whole economy is down. *With businesses going under every day, you should expect this to happen with radio advertising. *No surprise here. *When the economy recovers, so will the advertising income. *That's not to say that radio advertising income will ever be what it was a few years ago, but it will recover somewhat with the economy recovery. *So the stats for November are really worthless as an argument against radio or HD radio. The point is - radio is so strapped that a 20% drop puts pressure on an already stressed industry. *Radio is just trying to keep its head above water. *In that sense 20% IS significant. *Isn't that right Eduardo. I haven't heard of the radio industry asking congress for a bail out. I think it's a shame how some people enjoy seeing others suffer. *I guess some of you think as long as it is someone else's job that is in danger and not your own, it's just fine with you. *That's about as selfish as one can get. * - And hoping that the radio industry will fold - shows the disgusting person you really are.
