I am no attorney. However, I strongly suspect you are correct. Only a
very rudimentary amount of logic need be applied to support your point.

If an American woman (and citizen) gives birth on foreign soil, I don't
see a large battle in attaining American citizenship for the child; I
suspect it is only a formality in completing the proper paperwork.

Certainly American tourists must experience this daily; I have never
heard of any discussion/challenges as to whether the child has a right
to American citizenship, or not ... true, the child may have dual
citizenship, depending on what is recognized by the country of true
physical birth ...

Doesn't the constitution state, " "No person except a natural born
citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption
of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President;
neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have
attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a
resident within the United States."

Since there are NEITHER any "natural born citizens" or even "citizens of
the united states" who were alive at the adoption of that constitution,
STILL ALIVE, it could equally, and with like logic, be argued that no
one has the right of being president of the United States!

So, it would seem, indeed, he IS a natural born citizen ... and, was,
quite NATURALLY, so because his mother was a citizen.

But, this is how fools make lawyers rich, I guess ...
