Antenna for SWL, Ham and BC? Backyard antennas, shack photos? Manual swaps? This place looks like CB sounds like anymore. Almost all have left. I've tried on here over the past few months. I really have. The spam and childish infighting is making these group all but unreadable anymore. There are some good yahoo groups like DXLD and other shortwave groups. This group has slowly been reduced to it's lowest common denominator. It's no longer worth monitoring for any useful shortwave information. I occasionally check to see if anything has improved but it appears to be hopeless. There are plenty of other shortwave groups and forums where you can participate without expecting to see your post hijacked and then deteriorate into a food fight. You also won't have to waste your time keeping kill files up to date. The subject of a moderator comes up now and then but don't expect that to ever happen. In fact, it's time for Usenet to cancel this group. Then perhaps someone can start a new moderated Usenet shortwave group. What is interesting is that goofballs like you always show up and complain about the state of the news group but never contribute any worthwhile posts themselves. This is an active news group with no chance of it being killed off. This news group will not ever be moderated as it was not created that way. -- Telamon Ventura, California |
