I'll make this simple for you. We as a country do not have a large
enough population to counter what was the USSR and China. We have had
to rely on technology and advanced weapons as an equalizer. We don't
have any choice but to have technology that is superior. Money must be
spent to maintain this edge.

The big battle now is with China and the pacific. The Chinese tests us
all the time in the air, on the ocean surface, and under water.

Soon the contest will be in orbit around the earth.
