Because the Colleton county prosecutor didn't think they would win the
rape case is why the charge got plea bargain down. It would have been
the testimony of the 2 girls versus that of 60 from Stair's cult
community who would testify Stair didn't do a thing and is a saint.

Stair is also fighting a $750,000 judgment against him by a dozen or
so ex-members of his cult. Stair is appealing it but I think he had to
put up the money during the appeal. That wasn't a problem for Stair.

Stair also ignores the bible and claims God tells him things, like you
should get rid of all your TV's. Of course, since Stair is only on the
web and radio, God didn't command him to tell you to get rid of those
things.

And what makes him dangerous is one of out 1000 who listen to him will
give him their life savings to come live at his compound.
