I love SW listening and in fact my main purpose of buying receivers is to listen to SW English broadcasting such as BBC, VOA, Radio Australia, China Radio International and the like. Nowadays SW stations are getting fewer and fewer and BBC has stopped SW broadcasting in Europe, so I am very worried. Maybe one day we will have no SW stations to listen to. I am Seriously considering learning SPANISH - so I can understand the transmissions out of South America; - Of which there are many & is WBCQ still on the air ? |

& is WBCQ still on the air ? They operate a part-time schedule and the only freq I can get in is 7415 before dark here in SC. Their 5110 freq is virtually useless. www.wbcq.com for their programming schedule. Seems the Spanish shortwave stations come in good during the day, and the English stations aren't worth **** unless you enjoy Melissa/Gene Scott preaching on 11775. |
