First, what would be the point of having 95% of the people on welfare? What would that "goal" accomplish? A secure voting block that will always vote for Liberal-Socialists who promise to keep the streams of government money flowing to people voting for Liberals-Socialist. Finally, even if this were so, how could the 5% that are working support the 95% that aren't? That is what we are finding out right now... Obama thinks they can. I say that once you fleece the rich and have run out of other people's money, then the Socialist nirvana will collapse, but Obama thinks he can just print money and keep the deception alive. You have just asked the Questions that Obama is afraid of..... This is why the Democrats tried to destroy Joe the Plumber when he asked that question. Joe was questioning how Socialism was going to afford all this spreading the wealth around that Obama wants. It's real nice to want everyone to get what they need, the problem is the idea is like that of a perpetual motion machine.... they run up against reality and a perpetual Socialist economy is as out of reach as is the perpetual motion machine. |

First, what would be the point of having 95% of the people on welfare? What would that "goal" accomplish? The economy is a mess and it is ripe for politician to express government is the answer to all our troubles. With his expansion of government and new entitlements, he will increase the dependent class. It's given, government entitlements are hard for politicians to let go. Finally, even if this were so, how could the 5% that are working support the 95% that aren't? We are on a progressive road of having the ratio of tax receivers coming close to taxpayers. By the time the baby boom generation retires, there will be less people paying into the system. We also have the second highest corporate tax amongst industrialized nations. The top 1 percent of income earners, by household, paid 39 percent of all federal income taxes in 2005, whereas the bottom 50 percent paid a little over 3 percent. Further, 32 percent of all tax returns filed in 2005 were from people who paid no federal income tax at all. During Fiscal Year (FY) 2006, the IRS collected more than $2.2 trillion in tax net of refunds, about 44 percent of which was attributable to the individual income tax. This is partially due to the nature of the individual income tax category; containing taxes collected from working class, small business, self employed, and capital gains. Of the Individual Income Tax, the top 5% of income earners pay 60% of this amount. It stands to reason that 60% represents less people than those who pay little or no tax at all. - Obama did not break his promise to review bills that reach his desk line by line to eliminate earmarks. He now says when he said it, it was a Teleprompter malfunction. |

It will be hard to vote her and her crew out of office if Obammy achieves his goal to put 95% of Americans on welfare. Perhaps you can explain how anyone being on welfare (and there's no way 95 (or even 50) percent of the population could ever be on welfare) would affect voting? Even the homeless have voting rights.. Obammy wants to make most Americans dependent on government. He did campaign on tax increases on the top income earners and increase tax breaks for those who do currently pay taxes. http://www.barackobama.com/taxes/ Obama’s Comprehensive Tax Policy Plan for America will: -Cut taxes for 95 percent of workers and their families with a tax cut of $500 for workers or $1,000 for working couples. -Provide generous tax cuts for low- and middle-income seniors, homeowners, the uninsured, and families sending a child to college or looking to save and accumulate wealth. Obammy is attracting the lower classes by promising economic justice. Karl Marx preached the same thing and the way he felt to achieve it was through wealth distribution. That's why Joe "the Plumber" became well known because he got Obammy to 'fess up on that goal. - Obama did not break his promise to review bills that reach his desk line by line to eliminate earmarks.
