Funny, but I can't find anyone but this one wingnut website mentioning this
(and a few others quoting it verbatim), and I notice that none of them
include any references that we can look at ourselves.

I guess some people will just take *anything* on faith.

I guess some people will just take *anything* on faith.

It would appear so. The article is indeed all over the net, and all
are identical Going to the NPR Home Page and nosing around, some
interesting facts about NPR are stated:

http://www.npr.org/about/nprworks.html

"NPR was incorporated in 1970 pursuant to the Public Broadcasting Act
of 1967, but it is not a government agency. NPR is not a radio station
itself NOR DOES IT OWN ANY radio stations, but NPR programs can be
heard on more than 860 public radio stations across the United
States."

And

http://www.npr.org/about/

"A PRIVATELY SUPPORTED, not-for-profit membership organization, NPR
serves a growing audience of 27.5 million Americans each week in
partnership with more than 860 independently operated, noncommercial
public radio stations."

Reading DonkeyDoo's cite in the original post we see that the writer
used the phrase "...In explaining its decision in a similar matter,
PBS -- another federally funded media outlet -- ". Another FEDERALLY
funded outlet? Looks like the writer of DonkeyDoo's cite is not up to
speed on things.

up will be further limitations on religious speech prohibited by the
constitution while at the same time atheism in its many forms will be
encouraged. Further down the road more Christians will be persecuted for
praying in any public place or property. Military chaplains have already
been sanctioned for mentioning Christ in prayers and services for

Yeah, since all law is based on moral religious grounds it kicks the
foundation out from under a nation founded on the rule of law.

That's bull****. Animals practice compassion, democracy,
egalitarianism, etc. These are natural virtues, not decreed by some
dickhead priests or shamans or whatever.

It's not BS Dave and you know it. This is a nation of laws that have
their inception in religious teachings. The ten commandments used to be
posted in the courts and one used to swear on the bible that they are
telling the truth so help them God. Where do you think this came from,
atheists?

I expect this sort of thing to happen with the Obomination as president.
Things will probably get much worse. Expect to be persecuted for being
Christian one of these days.
One of these days, why not today?
So now your lunacy is referenced to an underlying cause,
not too surprising it would be xianity.

I know that you have never heard of church burnings, defacements,
destruction. It's never happened right? Go stick your red pointy eared
head back in the sand.

Referring to church burnings by those nice conservative KKK types, are you?

That's just some of them by liberal loon KKK types that are still a part
of the Democrap party.

All right! We have a new conspiracy from Telemundoh! You really should
move to Louisiana of Mississippi - you'd fit in very well there.

And you should move to the south pole and stuck your head in the snow
instead of sand for a change of pace.

The POS Christians have flooded the NCE FM band with their 24/7 begathon
translators, spewing hatred and ringing in the bongo bucks, while
crowding out the Community Radio stations who are not funded by
megachurches. You have a lot of nerve complaining about a government
subsidised network wanting to represent all Americans fairly.

Nice, now you resent people for having religion. I'll keep that in mind.

I resent anyone who is bent on conquest.

I'm trying to think of the last time I was bent on conquest? Must have
been that blond I met on the beach last weekend. Hopefully, you won't
resent that.
