More will have coverage than do now. Remember right now, the estimate is that 40 million have no coverage at all. That's the ultimate denial of treatment. You can still pay for extra coverage if you are afraid of rationing. The rich won't have to worry about rationing because they can afford to pay cash. The rationing would only apply to people receiving experimental surgeries and who will rely on the gov't program. It's not as if private heath care will be abolished. How silly. Silly is some dumbass dufus, such as yourself, once claiming to have a PhD! You don't know jack, boy.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Hey, Steve, show us all the "jack" you know! Explain how universal health coverage would result in less people receiving medical care than now. I got a better idea. You explain to me why I'm responsible for someone else's health care. I looked in the constitution and I could not find an answer there. Maybe you could point it out to me. -- Telamon Ventura, California |

Maybe you could point it out to me. Why am I responsible for your roads? Why should I have to pay for your military? We all use the roads and we all benefit from the common defense of the country. The constitution provides for that. What it does not provide for is the taking of one man's wealth and giving it to another. This is the only country where our rights come from God not government or man. Government, a man as ruler, or men as a committee do not have the right to redistribute wealth as they deem fit for any reason that can be thought of OR we are not free and are under the tyranny of said government, a ruler, or group of men. If you can't see this then go live in any other country on the world and have it their way. -- Telamon Ventura, California |

It is also childish and immoral to support a war machine rationale of common defense and not apply the same kind of logic to using the might of the nation to protect the health of its citizens, especially when every other country in the world does it. |
