Give Away a Radio Today!
I know a lot of us collect radios. I have so many that my daughter is
threatening to have me committed if I buy another one. So, to attempt peace in my family, while also trying to spread the radio hobby, I challenge people in here to engage in an effort that I've personally started for myself: Find someone you think would be interested in the radio hobby and give away a radio you're not using. I started this morning. I took two radios to work and gave them away. One went to the instructor across the hall, who has often been nice to me. He likes to mess around repairing old electronics, so I gave him a DX-440. The other radio was an old 10 meter transceiver that went to an electronics instructor. They both were absolutely enthralled with the equipment I gave to them. Give it a try. It's a neat feeling. Mike Derby City |
