Default Vacation Logs - 06/13/09

Ah, the first day of my two week vacation. Listening to the radio is
my biggest goal for the next two weeks...

R. Kuwait, Kuwait, 13620 at 1735 UTC in Arabic. ME music. Sio-434,
best in USB to avoid WYFR on 13615. (Bryant – KY, E1, June 13)

R. Japan, via UAE, on 13740 at 1743 UTC in Japanese. Soft-voiced YL in
Japanese, US pop songs being sung in Japanese. SIO-343, target =
MEast. (Bryant – KY, E1, June 13)

CVC Int'l, via Lusaka, Zambia, on 13590 at 1750 UTC in English. US pop
mx, M announcer w/ Australian accent, asking everyone for help in
stomping out cholera. SIO-342, lots of noise. (Bryant – KY, E1, June
13)

BBC, Rampisham, UK, on 13675 at 1754 UTC in English. M w/ news, sports
w/ scores, ID. SIO-242, target = Russia. (Bryant – KY, E1, June 13)

R. Kuwait, Kuwait, on 11990 at 1800 signing on in English. Time pips,
M w/ ID & other s/on announcements, including that the EE program will
be on for the next three hours. Seemed like this station was
broadcasting in different lang up to ToH, but nothing listed in EiBi.
(Bryant – KY, E1, June 13)

BBC, via Ascension Island, on 15105 at 1815 UTC in French. M w/ ID,
prob news. SIO-343+. (Bryant – KY, E1, June 13)

V of Nigeria, Ikorodu, Nigeria, on 15120 at 1820 UTC in English.
Lively African hi-life music, heavily-accented M announcer w/ brief ID
between songs. SIO-434, best in lower sync to avoid some splatter feom
WYFR's Spanish programming on 15130. (Bryant – KY, E1, June 13)

RTVM, Morocco, on 15345 at 1825 UTC in Arabic. ME vocals, M talking,
no clear ID, so presumed. SIO-343, no trace of Argentina. (Bryant –
KY, E1, June 13)

CVC, Chile, on 15410 at 1830 UTC in Portuguese. Lively, upbeat
progamming w/ pop mx and plenty of “CVC” IDs. SIO-344. (Bryant – KY,
E1, June 13)

As a matter of fact, I will be working at some place new, when I
return to work in two weeks! I'll be thinking of you, as I start,
Steve.

Great! But isn't this kinda like lying to me in the past about being fired from
LTI?

And, as always, don't let your children attend Louisville Technical
Institute. They've hired at least one dufus who once claimed to have a PhD,
and who knows, there may be more dufi there.

Nope, the truth is I won't be working at Louisville Tech, any longer.
As of June 29, I'll be working elsewhere.

Myself and others will be checking the LTI website to see if you're still there, boy!

New job? This is most likely another diversionary tactic, like the time he called
me on the telephone and claimed that he'd been fired by Louisville Technical
Institute.

Quick, everyone notify the authorities! Steve Lare may have been
"diverted." Aw God, the inhumanity of it all...

Steve, it sure seems like I was the first thing you thought of today,
as you awoke. You either need a girlfriend or a hobby, dude.

Hope you have a nice day!

Mike
