Default portable radio for digital TV signals?

Greetings Earthlings,

Does anybody know of a portable radio that can receive the new digital
TV sound? It isn't for me. It's for my banker. She told me today
that she likes to listen to the news while she is at work.

I don't need a radio to listen to the news on TV. I get my news from
reliable sources. Alex Jones and the crew at Coast to Coast AM.

I have yet to see anything in the line of a portable TV that receives
ATSC. Thing about a radio to receive the audio is that unlike the split
carriers of a System M signal, there is no separate audio carrier to
receive. You would have to receive and decode the entire digital signal
just to get the audio.. may as well have a video display on your portable.

BTW, I do not count those 7-9" sets you can use in your camper that run off
of 12V "portables." For it to be a true portable, it needs to have at least
an accessory external battery pack, and preferably internal batteries.
