If you can afford retirements at all, I doubt you could afford much
more than a minum wage and not more than double that rate, since your
minimum wage (you do have one, right?) is really part of your national
currency (an intellectual property, an instrument to exchange goods
and servcies) and when people attempt to model retirements that are
not controllable (company profits depend on consumers, not math
models) with excessive compensation packages are you begging for a
bankruptcy years down the road?

Otherwise you have to base retirement benefits on investments
remaining secure and growing for decades? Are retirements really a
man made invention, an experiment, or should they be limited to just
ensuring that seniors do not live like dogs under bridges with
shopping carts? Should foreign countries that do not provide
retirement benefits pay tarrifs in order ensure citizens in your
country do not live like dogs under bridges when they get older? Is
the argument too simple, should we expect everyone to invest for their
own retirement, and those that fall through the cracks, then only pay
a minimum wage type retirement?

Or do you just tell them to go live with their kids, and if they are
raising kids now, don't raise them to be crack heads, give them
values, make them sit in church every Sunday?
