He was not absolutely clear last week, but it *sounded* like he was
preparing for some R&R of some sort. I certainly hope it is not more
serious than this. One thing that concerned us was that he said he
had not eaten anything for several days. Let's keep him in our
thoughts.

One of the first things the authorities http://www.michigan.gov/mioc
do is confiscate personal computers when an investigation is
initiated. Considering Mr. Lare's documented history of hate speech,
threats and intimidation; see
http://groups.google.com/group/rec.r...0d4768a?hl=en&
it is possible that he currently has no internet access.

You could also check psychiatric facilities in the Holland, MI area in
case he has been admitted for "observation".

Your concern for this very troubled individual is commendable. Hope
this helps.

Well, maybe...kinda...sorta...

Severe back pain can be very difficult to control. Furthermore, it is
relatively easy to unwittingly get the monkey on your back. Just happens
in the normal course of treatment. And if you are on other drugs (or
alcohol -- as Lare was occasionally known to do), well, watch out! See
my statement above about going to sleep and waking up dead. :-(

If that's the case, he needs to go to Pain Management and get an

I just had a 45 minute consult with a PM MD. He told me as long as
there were no "safety" issues, he'll give me what I ask for (within
reason). The last thing you want to do is fly off the handle. They
could have been "testing" him.

1) Not sure why they would be "testing him" -- or even what you mean by
that.

2) From his post, it -appears-, for whatever reason, he had a falling
out with his PM clinic.

3) It's fine that YOU have a good working relationship with YOUR pm doc

meaningless when applied to Lare and HIS doc in ultra-conservative Holland.

I'm sure he could cash in one of his countless stocks or bonds. He uses
his Rolex collection as paper weights for all the pension and disability
cheques he's receiving.

Also consider that he's saving a fortune by using a socialist form of
payment for all his medical services. Privatized, for profit health care
is for OTHER people.

Mind you, I've found it ironic that someone with an alleged musical
background could go for years without a sound card in the computer. Weird..

I recommended Eternal-September, as well. Been on it for about a
year, myself, without issues.

So, he's got options. Google is less than a practical solution,
because of the graphics on the pages. As I recall, he's on a dial-up.

Then, again, he may be in no hurry, either. I took more than a
year off of USENet, myself.
