I've never messed with the seal. Does it return to form after the coax has
been there a few years and then removed? Can it leak and can it be sealed
with silicone or something? How do I know when I am lower than the glass to
go through?

Thanks for replying.

I've had no lasting effects on my Tacoma, Corolla nor Subaru Forester.
