Those used to be the essence of conservative values, before conservatism was taken over by the reptilian-looking neocons. They have made America hated more than ever before and are the best recruiters for al-Qaeda that could possibly be imagined. Now the neocons are trying to take over the Tea Party movement, converting an anti-statist movement into just another front for the obscenely bloated Zionist-yoked American military machine, which is arguably the greatest shame of our nation. But, as much as I like them, I don't think we should allow the civilized Spanish of Central America to send their surplus underclass population into our nation. With all good wishes, Kevin, WB4AIO. --http://kevinalfredstrom.com/ At the risk of great oversimplification, I think our nation - and all nations - should pressure the most highly defective governments on the planet to straighten up their operations and begin to serve their people instead of their own pockets. The US government isn't perfect by any means, but I work with people from C. and S. America who claim that the US is paradise compared to the incredibly corrupt and disgraceful majority of governments south of the border; and I have no reason to doubt them. I am not sure that our immigration laws are that weak right now - I think they are poorly enforced, however. If fixing the law to enhance enforcement is proposed I am all for it. I am greatly conflicted about what to do with the illegal immigrant people who have already arrived. Sending them back seems cruel; having them stay here allows us to eat cheap produce; ideally they could be assimilated into the usual US culture and become contributing members of society. I cannot say whether this is realistic, as I do not claim to be a sociologist. OTOH, they are illegal, after all, and the continuation of that condition is pretty unacceptable. Their genes do not concern me, I am frankly convinced long ago that people are fundamentally products of their environment, and that any person is going to be most strongly influenced by the examples set by their parents and the society of their peers; but some of the customs and habits I find quite offensive, especially in regard to their basic treatment of others - humans and animals (having said that, I find some of our own European/US customs and habits quite offensive too - but no need to make matters worse). Of greatest concern to me, however, is overpopulation, pure and simple. Not just here, but across the globe. It helps very few people or the environment, causes great harm for most, and let's face it, no other large mammal: 1 - was or is 7 billion strong, anywhere, at any time; 2 - has such a gluttony for resources; and 3 - is so incredibly capable of altering the fabric of the biosphere. The effects are both global and local; and I am greatly concerned about the US becoming another huge land crushed cheek to cheek with humans. It ain't healthy for people or anyone else. You mean America is no longer the world's supercop, seeking and out
administering correction where it thinks necessary? Nam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, etc., etc. I can't see these as minding your own. National security, not entirely. Gotta protect the Jew at all costs. Keep that footprint in Israel. Not for brotherly Jewbee love BUT for American interest in the mid east. I know, let's mind our own business and let them blow their own asses off the global map. We're not gaining anything by our involvement anyway, right? "dave" wrote in message ... A very quiet antenna partially aided by it's ability to be rotated away from
most interfering noise sources. At this location I usually keep it facing SSE as this is the main direction for my interests, utility monitoring. For now an inexpensive Radio Shack rotator seems to be working fine. Very nice to have the ability to remotely control it's direction. Only once did the drive freeze during an ice storm. When setting up it's location for best noise free operation, I placed the assembled unit on a temporary moveable base in order to try it a various spots around the yard. That spot was soon found although not exactly where I wanted it. The cable runs are now buried beneath the my wife's flower beds and a small rock garden and at some length from the house. For a final touch the amazing 1026 removes almost entirely any lingering noise. Very pleased with the setup. Please excuse my not replying to newsgroup posts at times as my job sometimes takes me away for extended periods. Thanks for your interest and the best of monitoring to the group. "D.
