Now, there's something we definitely agree on.
But it needs very careful handling. This is the same system Confucius
recommended. And what happened was the corruption of the test taking
process in favor of the kin of those giving out the test.

And given the control by corporate mass media, no way could we ever
get a majority to install some test of sanity and competence. But...
what you can do is look for those areas which already have higher
standards, then move and invest there.

Competent public schools and a "truth to power" tradition in the mass
media are essential to a healthy democracy. There are way too few
station owners. Way too few cable companies.

I don't advocate an actual test.

I dont blame you; tests have been fudged. However, there's nothing to
prevent you from finding other honorable talented people to work with
and find real solutions. Rather than telling others how to live, show
them with the way you and your associates live.

Something under the radar, that I notice reading Cosmopolitan and
Glamour magazines, is that thirty-something white career women, no
longer hot and sexy, are giving up on ever meeting Mr. Wright, and going
to fertility clinics. They wont get the perfect marriage, but with the
support of their families and friends, do get the perfect baby.

I beg your pardon - I know quite a few career women in their 30s and
40s who need not bow to anyone! And many of them even have naturally-
derived children ;-)

Who will no doubt not grow up stupid and uninformed. But look at it more
closely and see it is EUGENICS. Only under the control of women, not
men. This has been going on long enuf now that some of these kids are
already in grad school, having received full scholarship every step of
the way.

- The first generation of Uberwench. Next question: in the name of
equal
- opportunity, are fertility clinic services going to be funded for
poor
- women of all races? If so, it'll dramatically reduce the number of
the
- stupid and uninformed, and thereby stabilize the democracy.

No, what the Eugenics types do is to fully Fund
Abortion Clinics for Poor Women of All Races.

You do and I do. We will perish together if the republic fails.

It is not now, nor has it ever been, every man for himself.

....and then there are some of us non-eugenics types who just want
EVERYONE to use birth control maximally. There are too damn many
people of every color and stripe and etc. on this planet.

Noble, but not workable. So, the smart people who can follow your reason
do not breed, while the gullible stupid listening to religious fanatics
do, and their numbers are increasing at the polls.

What's needed is more fertilized eggs of the case manager class who will
grow up to deal with the problems and have fewer clients in the case loads.

I know a MSW who bore four daughters, who all grew up to be nurses
and/or social workers. But the four have had no daughters at all, and
grandma is still working at 71 cause they cant find anyone competent
enuf to replace her.

The social safety nets need far more competent people holding it all
together, and far fewer sitting in it.

"Equal opportunity" has not, in fact, increased the numbers supporting
social services cause you cannot develop talent that is not innately
there to start with. And, those few which are found to be gifted tend
far more often to be hired by the corporate culture which pays better.

The effective caseworker/healthcare provider relies on an innate talent
to read body language apart from the "IQ" or other such talents
academics and business wants and measures. You havta be born with it.

Granted that lotsa poor women have it, and have perfectly adequate
maternal instincts as well, but lack the other aspects of intelligence
to keep up with the science, drugs, nutrition, educational policy, and
so on an effective case worker needs.

One solution is to provide poor women with in vitro fertilized eggs from
women who have been remarkably effective in healthcare and case
management. Having more girls like this in class will result in far
lower rates of violence in the schools because already they pick up on
the body language clues to impending problems.
