Well folks, we have a conundrum here...

Some say NPR is Socialist.

Others say it is Nazi (Fascist).

These are diametrically opposed...can't be both.

So, which is it? Pick ONE.

Huh?

I was responding to Cuhulin...and I would politely suggest that you are
wrong if you think Cuhu talks about shortwave radio.

Also, you may have missed my post here on the QSL thread about my QSLs
for two-way contacts with NORTH Korea and the MIR space station.

Thanks for the clarification...and yes, I agree with your NPR comment.

Get out an atlas and look up the hill towns- Alpina, Bee Branch, Clinton,
Deer, Eureka Springs, Flippin, Greer's Ferry, Heber Springs....

REPEATEDLY, you see ZERO rates of violence. Dropout rates in the single
digits, graduation rates over 90%, attendance at 95%. with less than 1%
minorities. You still see rebel flag decals on the window behind the gun
rack in the pickups or on flagpoles in the yard. (Which is curious cause
these NW Arkansas hillbillies didnt have slaves and seceded from the
Confederate govt in Little Rock)

If you want a white nation, this is pretty close, altho they are also
1/2 Cherokee. But we all get along. The area was settled early in the
19th century by Scots & Irish, who knew a thing or two about white
aristocracy dispossessing people. so when the Trail of Tears came thru,
lotsa Cherokee were taken in... to the gene pool.

Sounds idyllic. I drove through Ft. Smith 31 years ago. In the middle of
the night. My mom's family is from a little farther up the Appalachians
(Ft. Boone and Lexington).

There's a downside. The moonshine clans are now into meth. But they have
been leaving cause the welfare benefits in the city for their women have
been so much better.

http://assetseizure.org relates to how they've been seizing land to make
money rather than actually trying to control marijuana. Old hippies in
tarpaper shacks can grow all the pot they want. The cops only show up if
there's enuf money in it.

A few years ago, a friend got hit by a drunk on his way to a fishing
hole on a gravel road in the North end of Pope county. I called the
sheriff's, but they said we hadda drive down to the office in
Russellville to file a report. Get this: THEY WOULD NOT SEND A SQUAD
CAR. Turns out, there's a reason for a place called "Nogo". They dont go
there. They also knew who the drunk was, but will not send a squad car
after him, but wait for him to show in town. Which wont ever happen.

The only time you see squad cars is if they're part of a 7 unit convoy
with chopper air support for a drug bust. Otherwise, we manage things.

When the tire tracks of a thief was identified, an exit visa back to CA
was written in the side of his truck with 30-30 holes.
