Not All - Some Did and Many More Stayed Teaching.

For many/most grew-up wanting to be a Teacher;
Educated Themselves to Become a Quality Teacher;
and Love Being A Good Teacher.

Remember too the 'choices' for Women have change
and expanded from the 1950s/60s over the decades.
The majority of Teachers at least in the lower grades
used to be Women. Back then 50/60s Women were
NOT Police Officers, Fire'Men' and many other so
called Man's Jobs. Now Women hold signification
numbers of these Jobs. And Teaching is just one
Career Choice for both Men and Women Today.
Potentially the Salaries of Teachers has to be more
Competitive Today in the Expanded Job Market for
Women then back in the 50/60s.
