Yepp - every second brings us closer. The Hayward Fault near my home
is a near-future ticking time bomb, approximately due for another MM
7.0 or so. Not looking forward to this certainty.

Don't you want to get it out of the way? The part by my house is capable
of an 8. Have you seen the liquefaction map for your neighborhood?

Thanks - the map you provide is actually north of my neighborhood, but
being near the bayshore margin, I am definitely in a high liquefaction
risk zone.

....just updating the message filter...

My neighbor's from Louisiana and he waters way too much. I just use the
cooler hose for a few patches of Bermuda and a few trees. There's a bad
drought and everyone blames the Sierra Club.

Why is Prez Obama a member of the Sierra Club ?

WTF cares? This is irrelevant.

Natural Droughts are simply part of the
'nature' cycle of the Earths Weather.

-however- A Water Shortage is simply lack
of Good Environmental Planning by Man.

This is a classic example of somebody taking a complex problem and
pretending there is a simple solution.
