Stopped by the local Goodwill outlet today and found a beautiful
Select-A-Tenna for $4.

At the checkout I was asked if I was a 'Senior', over 55, an they gave me a
20% discount.

Out the door for $3.39.

Outstanding.

I use S-A-T for MW reception here in the deep weeds of Lake County
and up in the North Woods when I'm at the lodge.

Seriously useful at bringing up deep signals, but without the noise.

The only other 'gem' I found recently is a Westinghouse 'Seven-Transistor' AM
radio, model H-602P7, ca. late 50's, apparently their first transistor radio.

Genuine top grain cowhide case, which is in darn near mint condition, for $3.18
out the door.

Good show! Our local thrift stores don't have crapola.

Damn. You're doing a lot better than I am, recently. Nothing at
the thrift stores around here but baby clothes and bubble-faced CRT
televisions.

My big wooden cabinet Telefunken Opus 7 AM/FM/Shortwave table model
radio, I paid four dollars for that radio at Goodwill a bunch of years
ago.I think it dates back to the 1960's.It is in very good cosmetic and
physical condition. It is a beautiful radio.

About the same time, at Goodwill I bought a Grundig wooden cabinet floor
model AM/FM/Shortwave radio with a Phonograph built into the top of the
radio. It is in fair to good contition physically and cosmetically.I
think it is a Majestic model, probally dates back to 1957.I paid
fourteen dollars for that radio at Goodwill. Both radios work ok.
