Radio Ga-Ga, 6925u, heard here at 1240, then into SSTV, and apparently off.

Get the MMSSTV program. It is widely available on the web, FREE and it is excellent (many think it is the 'gold standard' of SSTV). Take the zero dBm (line level) audio output from your receiver and run it to the input of your sound card. (You can use speaker audio too, but you may have to fidget around a bit adjusting the levels). Either way will work just fine. That's it! Easy to do and it opens a whole new facet to the hobby -- and you can actually -see- what those pesky pirates are up to. |

Kevin. Well, the signal on 15070 has been playing a lot of that atrocious though catchy "Lady Gaga" stuff, and interspersing it with SSTV. So it may have been a relay of Radio Ga-Ga. But now it seems to be playing "Pirate Radio Weekly" or something like that, with (roughly) "Ragnar Danneskold" and they just stated they had been relaying Radio Cupid from the Netherlands. Since some of the announcements contain "Happy Halloween," it must be a recording. The signal is only intermittently stronger than the background noise, so copy is not perfect. Good production values evident; audio fairly good also. Mode is AM. As ever, Kevin. -- http://nationalvanguard.org/ http://kevinalfredstrom.com/ |
