Chinese labour relations are in flux, with recent government moves to recognise unions and try and keep a cap on wage inflation. Some Chinese firms are even beginning to offshore manufacturing to the likes of Vietnam and Bangladesh in order to cut or control costs. ® The ultimate irony will be the Chinese outsourcing to Mississippi or Georgia. The stupidity of the US and Canadian governments in persisting to give the Chinese billions in Foreign Aid money boggles the mind. Sounds like corruption at the highest levels. The North American taxpayer gives them cash in order to allow our Corporations to access almost free labour and no pollution controls. mike |
