NO the newer CFLs are very low {lower} in Mercury
'Content' versus older CFLs of just 2~5 Years ago.

burning power plant spews into the atmosphere making the extra
electricity needed to heat up the air around your 19th century wizardry

JT just now said there are reports of snow ('global waming') in North
Mississippi.Not only that, a guy in Canton,(not Canton,Ohio) said it is
snowing in Canton.Canton is about twenty sompin miles North of doggy's
couch.It is snowing on those Nissans at the Nissan factory.
I need those Incandescent Heat Balls to keep doggy and meself warm.Melt

You may want to brush up on your meteorology and note that there are no
coal fired power plants upwind from your watershed. California's coal
plants are in Wyoming and Montana. We poison fish in the Great Plains.

I live near the Catfish Capital of the World.I can get all the safe to
eat Catfish and other kinds of safe to eat Fishies I wants, Bass, Brim,
Trout, you name it.Don't eat any Catfish from Vietnam, it has Agent
Orange in it.

Nah...CFLs have a -minimal- amount of mercury in them -- and if the CFL
isn't broken, it's a non-issue.

Just for the record, the standard 4 foot fluorescent bulb has a lot more
mercury than the CFL...and nobody is wetting their pants about them.

BTW, got any amalgam fillings in your teeth? They contain mercury -- and
most of us are still here to talk about it.

Had a tuna fish sandwich for lunch? Tuna is -full- of mercury.

IMHO, CFLs are near the bottom of the list of our mercury worries.
