There was a strong suspicion of who one of the jammers was, based on
his _modus operandi_ in past years. A local ham was contacted,
within the near field of the suspect, and he confirmed the suspicions.

Then a telephone call was made to the suspect, who was not playing
recordings but jamming using his own voice, and he was caught on
tape with the sound of the telephone ringing in the background of
his 75 meter transmission, which then ceased as he answered the
phone. Confronted with the evidence, he confessed.

I'll ask my correspondent if I should publish the name of the
jammer, but I can tell you now that he's well known for jamming not
only the Liberty Net (for more than ten years!) but many other
groups -- and for making death threats over the air, sometimes using
his callsign when he does so.
