Default John, How's the MW DXing?

Hi John,
Happy New Year to you and your family in South Africa. Just wondering
how the MW DXing is going? The "ultra-cold" weather here recently in
South Florida has caused an uptick in MW stations, mostly the entire
East Coast, still haven't snagged a Canadian station(Cuban stations
blast them out).
Are you and your friends going on another "DXepedition" soon? I
always enjoy reading your exploits and the super DX that you catch!
Take care and have a healthy year,
Bob

Hi Bob - all the best to you and yours for 2011. Aah, indeed good
health is indeed the great wish at our age.
DX is never really good in my home QTH of Montagu. Did take my Grundig
G8 to Atlanta in December but could kick myself as I scrambled the
tuning steps and couldn;t get it to scan in 10 khz steps, so didn't do
any useful DX..
We flew via Frankfurt in Lufthansa and got caught with a delay in the
a/c due to snow and ice of four hours. Got let off lightly as others
were delayed and flights canceled up to four days..

Hang in there Bob, you never know when your number will come up for
Canadah.

I was amazed the other day to get Ireland on 6225 khz at 2000z. I
didn't know Ireland had a SW service, so looked it up in WRTH and blow
me down it was a relay from Meyerton.

Our next big DXpedition is to Seefontein on March 21st - am looking
forward to some great DX and just hope the cattle don't screw up the
beverages like last time.
