But, Mississipi river basin has (historically) been the most
devastated place in the country . We should worry about New Madrid
Fault Line more than the North East Coast (Ramapo) vibrations . I
hope .

Apple is a different kind of Unix, Free BSD family

Android is a proprietary rewrite of Linux, also a descendant of Unix
(developed by your University of California and your Phone Company). The
B in FreeBSD stands for Berkeley.

There is no seismic hazard for New York.

It was Apple that created WebTV, Thank You, Apple.

Looka here,

Yeah, in fact of the business,,, I have been seeing those Tablet (Touch
Tablets) commercials on some of those tee vee shopping channels, such as
QVC and HSN and ShopNBC.I am thinking I want to try out a Tablet before
I get around to buying a Motorola ATRIX.

I don't tote, but once in a while I might tote it with me when I go to
the Goodwill store so I can impress them wimmins over there.Yeah, in
fact of the business,,, I am thinking tomorrow or Saturday or Sunday or
whenever I decide, I might check out some of the stores near doggy's
couch for a Tablet.I am thinking maybe a Velocity Micro Cruz Touch
Tablet if any of the Best Buy stores or other stores around here has
something like that for sale. Are those Tablets suppose to work right out
of the box? after making sure the battery is charged up, of course.
cuhulin, the Tablet

One cannot predict such events with any precision ... Look what
happened in Haiti last year . And that place was seismically quiet for
250 years !

No. Haiti is on a very active fault that has huge earthquakes a lot.

"Despite recent seismic quiescence, Haiti has suffered similar
devastating earthquakes in the historical past (1701, 1751, 1770 and
1860). Despite this knowledge of historical seismicity, Haiti had no
seismograph stations during the main earthquake, so it is impossible to
estimate accurately the intensity of ground motions. Nonetheless, the
wide range of buildings damaged by the January 12, 2010, earthquake
suggests that the ground motions contained seismic energy over a wide
range of frequencies. Another earthquake of similar magnitude could
strike at any time on the eastern end of the Enriquillo Fault, directly
to the south of Port-au-Prince. Reconstruction must take this hazard
into account."
