I seem to remember Motorola having a lot of technical difficulties with their radios during the New York fiasco. Then they had the nerve to advertise their 'expertise' in emergency communications. Lots of firemen were cursing that outfit. There were a dozen TV transmitters running full blast until the building they were in fell down. Very difficult RF environment. All power was cutoff immediately following the impact . I couldn't use my 2 cell phones or pager as of 9 AM . Nearly everything was located on that single roof *!
