In the Good ould Summertime, in Ireland, if/when the temperature gets up
to about 73 degrees F or higher, those people start falling out from the
heat.73 degrees here in Missy Sippy is cool weather.Currently, 57
degrees inside my flower box on doggy's front porch.

Adjusting one's schedule can have some benefits. I look forward to
additional daylight and warmth following my workday to get in that
daily bicycle ride. OTOH, it does nothing for amateur astronomers and
only makes us DXers stay up later.

The summer here doesn't do amateur astronomers any favours. In June the
sky never gets completely dark. I once got home at 1am in mid June, and
looked up to see a dark blue sky. Apparently in Northern Scotland it
doesn't get any darker than twilight.

When I am put in charge, we will have daylight savings all year long and

This is what they did in the former USSR. Also, there were times when the
U.S. was on DST continuously. Once was during the Ford administration I
believe. It had something to do with saving fuel or some such nonsense.

Ever thought about just getting out of bed earlier on the mornings?
Newflash - Daylight saving doesn't make the sun stay in the sky longer.

The thing about DST is that everyone changes their schedules. Unless you're a
hermit you're interacting with others and with businesses, so DST works well.

Longest Summertime Daylight here, the Sun sets somewhere around after

If people want more daylight in the evenings, there is nor particular

Most people don't have control over their work schedule. Daylight
savings does give them an extra hour of daylight.
