In many cases the value is in the structure of the resource rather
than the resource itself. We wouldn't not think to eat again today
the resources we so gladly ate yesterday.

If it were not for our economic structure I would say who did what
was a waste of time and emotional effort. I feel we are indeed played
as pawns by people who create misery for their own happiness. It
is a pithetic life for which we all pay. The seven deadly sins are
wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony. At times I get
quite peeved by those who promote a path towards these sins.

By moving towards technologies that utilize renewable resources
(it's the structure that matters) we make our lives easier. This
morning a woman said with pride how plentify hispanics have
become in the US. I care not about the racial mix but the growth
in our population to achieve it. People who buy into the notion of
strife for a better life create that strife. The more of us there are
the greater the need for usable resources. A move towards
renewable resources doesn't make our life easier if it is offset
by increased population. People have to envision the world they
would like to see real before it can be achieved. If that means
a world of winners and losers then that's the world we will have.
