You don't need a U.S. birth certificate to obtain a U.S. passport. Well, either that or a Naturalization Cerificate. In the absense of any evidence of naturalization, I think we can safely assume that a US birth certificate was presented. You're making quite a presumption on blind faith (or hope). AFAIK, there has not been a FOIA or cognate request for a check of those papers. |
