They boomed in loud and clear once I nulled out (the then) KYXI, a 50KW plant licensed to Oregon City, just 80 miles away. At one point, much later in my life, I was even able to receive them in Portland (8 miles NNW) using a Fisher tuner and a large loop antenna. Nulling (by then) KSGO was more difficult, but it could be done because I was outside their primary nighttime pattern. |
