Please don't think this a provocation, but where does it fit in with the internet allowing far more exposure to the entire globe then shortwave ever could? If you are going for static-free, interference-free, noise-free and non-propagation dependent program content, the internet is clearly the way to go. If you like the magic and mystery of radio and are not too concerned if you miss a bit of the program content due to QRM, QRN and QSB, then shortwave is for you. It depends on why YOU listen...your choice. |
