Hi Folks,

Am hoping some of you folks might have some suggestions.

I have migrated from Windows to become a new MAC user.
Am dismayed about the (total ?) lack of programs related to sw radio
that there are. Actually, couldn't find any.

Lots of iPhone iOS Apps, but they don't work on the MAC OS

a. What I would like to find are some (no hardware req. on my side)
programs that I could listen to sw broadcasts with. Any ?

b. The same question for aero. communications. Any ?

c. And, anything like that great csvUserListBrowser program that I have
been using with my WinRadio G3 Excalibur ?

Any and all suggestions would be most appreciated.

It looks like you have answered your own question. For whatever reason
there seems to be very few ham/SWL programs for the MAC. That is why I
stayed with Windows for my ham computer -- tons of programs.

As stated, not a MAC user, but seem to have read in several places that
there are one or two Windows "emulators" for the MAC. Maybe you could
try one of those on your MAC and see if any of the Windows programs will
run.

That's an excellent idea. With Parallels or VMWare Fusion, Bob could
run Mac and Windows programs simultaneously, without having to reboot
the computer. (Although the latter option is also available through
Apple's Boot Camp.) Both Fusion and Parallels offer free trial periods.

on your Windows system.

Does it need to be a dedicated application? Are web-based SDR stations
not suited to your needs? I'm guessing that the dedicated programs allow
you to store favorite frequencies, and perhaps even include built-in
databases of shortwave stations/frequencies/times, is that correct?

I use LiveATC--in a browser on my Macs and via their app on my iPhone.
