Announcer started off by stating that it was 9 o'clock East African
Time, then news headlines, then the news in full.

This was preceded by the Interval Signal, which I stated yesterday was a
drum beat, but as it turns out it may be a xylophone or pikisphone,
which at times may sound like a drum beat. At any rate, it's interesting
that they have an English news bulletin.

At 1810, the news headlines were read again, then back into Swahili.
