Hearing the news in English at 1800 from Radio Tanzania Zanzibar on
11734.1 Announcer started off by stating that it was 9 o'clock East African Time, then news headlines, then the news in full. This was preceded by the Interval Signal, which I stated yesterday was a drum beat, but as it turns out it may be a xylophone or pikisphone, which at times may sound like a drum beat. At any rate, it's interesting that they have an English news bulletin. At 1810, the news headlines were read again, then back into Swahili. Steve Holland, MI Drake R7, R8 and R8B |
