I'd stored my 2010 for quite a while, pulled it out, and got persistent Error 3's. Nothing cleared it up until I bent out both ends of the D battery terminals, very gently, with a pliers. Apparently, they deliver power to the circuit board by resting on top of a solder. Sort of a weird design, but nudging the contacts a bit lower solved it. Not sure which contact wasn't contacting, but I just wanted to do it once. Anyway, I'm back in business.
