Nobody You Want Your Children to Know crayoned:
By the way, it's "Christian", not your judaized "xian" term. On Sat, 13 Sep 2003 21:34:26 -0500, BDK wrote: LOL!! The term "xian" is some kind of jewish plot too?? Idiot. Ezra Pound was a poet, populist, conspiratorialist, and virilant anti-semite. He was found to be too nutty to stand trial for treason. He was also a Shortwave broadcaster. Frank Dresser |

I mean, there has to be a (semi-rational ?) reason for this. Is there? |

If an AM talk jock made the type of comments that Hal Turner made, there would be immediate outrage and he'd be fired. But since SW has such a small listener base, and since it's so big (2300 to 22000 khz as compared to 520 to 1710 khz or 88.1 to 107.9 Mhz) Hal and his comrades could go unnoticed for quite a while. The only reason Hal went off the air is because he ran out of money. Also, that small listener base means that time on SW goes for peanuts (WRMI sells air for $1 a minute!) so that people without a lot of $ such as Paytriots and Jew haters can easily afford it. |

The true believers aren't inconvienced by the annoyances of SW, and it's cheap. The Ezra Pound situation is a little different. Ezra wasn't paying for time, he worked for the Italian Fascist government. Also, shortwave radio was a higher profile medium, back then. It would have been cool if there were about a dozen domestic SW broadcasters about 35 years ago.We would have something like "Radio Free Dope" "The Fight the Pigs Show" and "Communism is Neat". I can only imagine the pain of a whole generation of kooks, deprived of SW radio. Frank Dresser |

Yurin There should be hours of the stuff in the National Archives or someplace like that. Recording was done on aluminum backed acetate disks back then. The Feds were anticipating prosecuting Pound, the Tokyo Roses, etc. I can't imigane they'd throw any of that stuff out. But I'm not aware of anyplace it's publicly availible. Frank Dresser |
