Radio Tirana was spectacular! I used to listen to the female announcer go
on and on about crop yields and tractor reports. I also remember hearing
many Albanian folk songs, which was pretty cool stuff to a high school kid
in central Penna.

In going through my logs, my favorite is what I wrote down for 6/3/87 -
7065 kHz - 2343 GMT - 43334 SINPO:

ID, woman with talk about poetry and its pro-communist effects (Yea!)

Now that was good Cold War propaganda!

My personal favorite was Radio Tirana from Albania.

Oh and *that* newsreader----one of my favorite SWL comments I read
somewhere was "would SOMEONE please buy that woman a cup of
coffee!"
