Default Radio New Zealand International back on air

16 October 2003

Christian Ghibaudo reports: "Radio New Zealand International is back on
shortwave, since this morning 0ctober 16th. Now, at 0630 UTC, on 11820 kHz,
reception is nice here on the south of France." The shortwave transmitter
had been off the air since Saturday 30 August. The station's Web site
reported: "Spare parts have arrived and we are back on the air as of 0500
UTC 16 October. The transmitter is still under test but we hope our service
has now returned to normal." RNZI is still leasing time on Radio Australia
on 9580 kHz at these times: Sunday 1900-2115 UTC, Monday to Thursday 1700-
2115 UTC, Friday 1700-2015 UTC.

17,675 s-6 on my 50' random wire R8B preamp on.

A lot weaker than normal.

00:45 at 17675 - weak, but steady (much intereference) in Icom R-75,
60 ft. longwire. Playing an old "Canned Heat" tune.
