are there any happy RX-350 owners out there ?
Seems to me that Ten-Tec has insulted and ignored RX-350 owners for
too long now. it has been since August LAST year that any of the issues have been addressed. issues so bad I sold my 350 a month after I got it. they have spent all their resources on the Amateur line, especially the $3000 orion transceiver with a multitude of updates. every product in their DSP line has been updated except the 350. the last update was months ago. Ten Tec, I feel, considers the SWL to be a technical idiot and not worthy of an update. The times I did call I was treated like an idiot with insulting answers. when I said the sync detector was useless, they said use ECSS. technically savvy people know ECSS is NOT a substitute for a good sync. when I compained about the skirt selectivity they had another lame excuse. I talked to the person in charge of DSP software development earlier this year and he didn't even know what they would fix or when they would even start. so back to my question, are there happy owners out there that think the 350 is better than the Drake R-8B, I think my SW-8 is a better receiver than the 350 I had. and yes it was the latest software version. whether it was properly working, I can only assume since they wanted $50 on a three month old $1000+ receiver to check it out. ( some world class service ! keep the customer happy, they could not seem to care less about me) |

I demo'd a 350 some time back and it went back to the factory where it belonged. Steve Holland, MI Drake R7, R8 and R8B |
