"RedOctober90" wrote in message om... Hey Last night I was tuning through the 6200-6955 area and I came across a strange statio on 6507z around 0143z and lasting for several hours. Basically what I heard at first was a Spanish woman saying something like "this is radio..... (i couldn't make out what she was saying) Then she said some other things and read off some numbers in English 806, 1220, 1252, 1622,1629, 1640, 2210, 2217, and 2231. She said "and" after 2217. Then she ID "this is radio" and then a brief rough static sound. This was repeated for atleast an hour. Sounds like a voice mirror. The numbers given are maritime channel numbers. It's used as a marker for whatever station that was. The CFL says that Athens Radio uses quite a few of the above mentioned channels, so I'm willing to bet that's who it was. Hey thanks for the info, I didn't know it was in greek.. but the accent really didn't sound like Spanish as I originally thought. I hear it every night now. |
