If your so proud of your politically correct stance, why the heck are you posting behind a screen name? You are a low life ******* posting addresses of those you disagree with , while hiding in the dark. There are too many people like this in amateur radio (more like amateur hour). For once I'm glad I never got my license... "Private" wrote in message om... I cannot believe these two posts below. Charles D. Braham, you are worse then Dan L. Jeswald who started the thread making racist remarks. You guys just don't get it do you, where does it stop? Arabs? Black people? Both of you are discusting.... |

: What type of people should be involved in amateur radio? What would your ideal be? As much as I tire of listening to religious shows on American Commercial Shortwave, I am even more revulsed by the whining characteristic of the BBC and Canadian radio. This group was wronged, that group was wronged, white people caused this, Christians caused that, etc. Personally I think that the Founding Fathers of the U.S. would be proud of the discussions that occur both on American commercial shortwave and amateur radio. Freedom of speech was intended to permit dissent when it comes to political content. Thomas Jefferson: "In 1787, Jefferson would write a friend and say, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."" Does this sound like he would have believed that all conversations should be confined to the score on some ball game? FREEDOM OF SPEECH includes the ability to say things offensive to others. Period. I have suffered under childish liberal expressions of freedom of speech for years. The only difference is they revel in it in a juvenile sense, not really caring about the issue, only the desire to offend conservatives and foster iconoclastic policies. Pretend that you have grown up and have been weaned from your mother's nipples. You are today what the founders were in their time. You need to take the initiative to correct political wrongs, the easiest way is to acknowledge their existence (political wrongs) and to disseminate your carefully researched information. Radio does this well, especially amateur radio. Dr. Artaud The rest of us are probably glad you never got your license as well.
