When was it produced? What did it sell for? The original product was the Sony ICF-2001. Later, Sony licensed the design to other Asian manufacturers, on of which produced a Radio Shack version. I bought my DX-400 in 1985 in Pontiac, Michigan for $65.00. I still use it. The RS version of the 2001 had many of the problems of the original corrected, except for the bizarre 3 kHz step interval. The Sony was famous for going through fresh set of "D" cells in a few hours. mdr -- The hits just keep on coming for poor "Nadine".
