If the RCVR has been in storage for a long time see if you can get hold of a two amp variac and bring it up to line voltage over the course of a few seconds rather than turning it on instantly from cold. It was stored for about a year, not a real long time, I just never got around to setting it up again since I moved. At any rate I already powered it up the other day to play around with it, still works fine. |
