I don't know how much these radios
cost though.


For the stock radio (which should still come with a free UT106 DSP unit at most
retailers) you should expect to pay around $500 to $550 before shipping.
However, you may want to try the Used Equipment lists at Grove, Universal
Radio, or even AES (Amateur Electronic Supply) this time of year. You may be
able to find a used or demo model for less than $500, with the DSP unit already
installed (I don't really need or use the DSP feature much, but you need it in
order to have the notch filter, which I do use often)... If you have no qualms
with a non-warranted unit, try eBay for kicks... they tend to have a few on
there at any given time, and they tend to be less expensive than brand new.
Then again, new gets you a warranty and all that such things imply.
